TE is Top Workplace for a second year

Cleveland, OH; June 23, 2015 – Towards Employment (TE) is pleased to announce that the non-profit organization has been named a Plain Dealer Top Workplace for the second consecutive year.

Towards Employment’s mission is to empower individuals to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through employment. We help people prepare for a job, get and keep a job, and advance in their career. Our organizational focus on work makes being named a Top Workplace especially meaningful. TE’s 43 employees serve approximately 2,000 disadvantaged adults and youth each year, but the organization also serves local businesses. TE consults closely with businesses to define the soft and technical skills individuals need to succeed at work, allowing the organization to help individuals access and practice in-demand workforce skills.

Brian Lamb (Thompson Hine, LLP), Towards Employment Board of Directors President, says making the Top Workplace list is both appropriate and deserved: “Our staff is committed to preparing individuals to enter the workforce and to excel in the workplace.  They are mission-driven people who enjoy the opportunity to help others through innovation and collaboration.” Jill Rizika, Executive Director, notes, “It’s an honor to make this list for the second year in a row. Our staff works incredibly hard and they know their work changes lives and improves our community. However, they still take time to connect with one another and make TE’s offices a fun, cooperative space.”

Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading organizational health and employee engagement research firm. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the United States. The Plain Dealer published the completed list of 2015 Top Workplaces on June 21, 2015.
