"Hi! My name is Molly Roberts and I am a rising sophomore at the University of Richmond. Although I haven’t declared my major yet, I am currently on the track of double majoring in Leadership and Communications with a minor in Data Science. At Towards Employment this summer, I am the community engagement intern. Being at TE has been an amazing experience and I have gotten to work with exceptional people who are hardworking and very passionate about their job. In my position I have gone to many different locations everyday for outreach to people of all different ages and backgrounds and have learned how to effectively talk about Towards Employment in order to draw in individuals to take advantage of everything this organization has to offer. I have developed organizational skills by making sure we have all of the right materials for outreach and keeping track of those who are interested in signing up for the program. I have stepped out of my comfort zone by continuing to learn how to confidently command a room and communicate with those who show interest in this program. I am so grateful to have worked at Towards Employment because it is a very unique and special place. I want to thank my supervisors, Brenda Brown and Ronnie Cannon for everything they’ve taught me and I hope to continue to come back to TE in the future! It is certainly a place I will never forget."

"Hello, hello! My name is Jocelyn and I’m a rising sophomore majoring in Psychology (and possibly Marketing) at Case Western Reserve University. This summer, I’ve had the incredible opportunity of being a Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern under the supervision of Sandi Rosado. Whether it be designing promotional materials and social media posts or creating and leading our young adult social media campaign, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the passionate, driven people at Towards Employment while also learning skills I plan to use in my future career. "How's it going? My name is Jabiri Crowley, and I am a current rising junior at the Cleveland State University School of Film, majoring in Cinematography. Currently I'm participating in an internship at Towards Employment as part of the Social Media Marketing and Digital Content team! I have absolutely loved getting the chance to be at Towards Employment as a personal in-house videographer for the past 10 weeks. It has been a pleasure capturing the touching stories of some of the participants, volunteers, and staff, and being able to bring them to light in a format that multiple people can view. This internship opportunity has expeditiously helped me by allowing me to exercise my skills in both lighting, blocking, filming, and editing. I want to thank each and every TE Staff member, with a special shout out to Sandi Rosado for her excessive mentorship  and guidance throughout! I've learned so much from this gracious opportunity and will be drawing the lessons and knowledge from it to be applied to my future in the Film Industry."

"Hi, I'm Gabbi, the Policy & Advocacy intern at TE. I'm a fourth-year student at CWRU majoring in Political Science and International Studies, with additional minors in Public Policy, Business Management, and French. My time at TE has been incredibly rewarding; I've gained invaluable experience in the policy field and have been deeply involved in supporting our 2022-2025 Policy Action Plan while advocating for TE-supported policies. Some of my favorite responsibilities include writing and producing 'Real-Time Takes', our policy blog cast, working closely with policy partners, and capturing stories from individuals impacted by the justice system. I've also had the opportunity to play a key role in crafting our Policy Pulse newsletter. I could go on about the passion I have for my work; but overall, I'm so excited to further my impact on both TE and Ohio’s public policy landscape as I continue my work into the fall.
