Keep the Job
Getting the job is one thing – but our ultimate goal is job retention.
Our innovative retention practices and programs work. Nearly 80% of our clients retain their jobs for at least 90 days – the period of greatest instability among most entry-level positions.
From day one in our Job Readiness workshops – we focus on practical skills needed to keep returning to work day in and day out. Within the first few days of starting a new job, our career consultants are in touch with program participants – and stay in touch for at least the first 6 months of employment and in many cases a full year
If newly employed program graduates run into difficulty – at work or away from work – anything that may affect their ability to maintain their job – a Towards Employment career consultant provides coaching and access to our Support Services.
Employers are key to the job retention process. We actively encourage our employer partners to utilize the skills of Towards Employment’s career consultants if a problem arises.
Another way that we help our clients keep the job is through Achieve, Towards Employment’s nationally recognized job retention program. Achieve is custom-designed to help employers reduce employee turnover and enhance job retention among all entry-level workers or specific groups and categories of employees. The program also helps employees advance beyond an entry-level position and move into a career.
Testimonials
The biggest hurdles were the legal issues – child support and getting my driver’s license back. Towards Employment provided an attorney – without that, I made no progress on my own.
Testimonials
Towards Employment set me up with transportation, tools, and steel-toed boots. And they still check up with my supervisor. I’m grateful…and want to show it by being reliable and doing a good job.
